Tina Oxer

My interest in clay began as a collector of pottery that others had made. In my first pottery classes, I was most enthusiastic about throwing on the wheel and making functional pieces. After three trips to Japan with my husband in the 90s, my work was influenced by the Japanese technique of Raku. Raku provides the perfect finish for the jewelry and small sculptures that I enjoy designing. My most recent sculptures are inspired by my four grandchildren and seeing my sons and daughters-in-law as parents.
