Judith Fleishman

I was a ceramics major at Boston University’s Program in Artistry, and then a production potter and art teacher for children once I graduated. After a hiatus of more than 30 years, while I pursued my second career in Nursing, it has been a pleasure to be involved with clay once again, now as a member of the Potters Guild. I enjoy making pottery that has both utility and aesthetic appeal. I favor stoneware clay for its strength and durability. The rich earth tones of stoneware glazes help me achieve subtle color variations which mimic shades found in nature. In all my work, my primary goal is to create pieces that can be used and enjoyed on a daily basis.
